ARP® Expands Lineup Of Harmonic Damper Bolts

Noted fastener manufacturer ARP has come to the rescue of performance enthusiasts and racers who have struggled to replace harmonic damper bolts as a result of rounding the heads while turning the engine over by hand—most often when setting valve lash. ARP’s unique damper bolts feature a tall, larger-wrenching 12-point head, which facilitates turning the engine over with a deep socket to assure adequate contact and eliminate stripping.

Manufactured from premium grade 8740 chrome moly and heat-treated to a nominal rating of 190,000 psi tensile strength, ARP damper bolts provide maximum clamping loads for total security in high RPM environments. A ¼” thick wide area washer is included to help distribute the preload force.

ARP harmonic damper bolt kits are available for virtually all popular import and domestic engines ranging from 4-cylinders to a big Viper V-10, plus Chevy, Dodge/Cummins and Ford Power Stroke diesel applications.
