Less weight and significantly reduced rolling resistance are but two of the important benefits of the new drag racing front hub assembly and disc brake kit designed for 5th Generation Camaros (including the COPO) by Mark Williams Enterprises.
The lightweight hub assembly is a direct replacement for the heavy, high drag OEM hub. It features an aircraft aluminum housing, triple low drag bearings and a lightened, heat-treated aircraft alloy hub. It weighs six pounds less per vehicle than the OEM assemblies and requires 75% less rotating torque.
M-W also offers a lightweight front brake kit for the 5th Generation Camaro, including the COPO. There are several important features that set this apart from others on the market, including the exclusive Slot-Drive™ disc attachment system that allows components to expand and contract without creating warping stress, exceptionally rigid 4-piston calipers that don’t deflect like others, and quicker release of clamping pressure—which minimizes drag. The kit is designed to maintain the original Camaro track width to provide correct steering geometry and wheel/tire clearances. They can be used for racing or street applications.
