This newest GT Sport front subframe assembly from the chassis experts at Art Morrison Enterprises is truly a complete bolt-in installation for First and Second Generation Camaros and Firebirds, plus 1968-74 Chevy Novas.
Designed and engineered using contemporary 3D laser scanning, CAD technology and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) the new Morrison GT Sport clip fits perfectly, provides vastly improved handling, and has a 1-1/4″ lower ride height than previous designs for a great stance. Moreover, it’s substantially lighter than the bulky OEM subframe and improves performance accordingly.
The suspension features C6 Corvette knuckles, tubular control arms, increased camber gain, stable roll centers and adjustable coil over shocks. Add to this a new 3-position adjustable hollow sway bar with adjustable links and awesome handling is assured. Narrowed frame rails allow for many wheel and tire opportunities. Wide 275/35R18 tires were employed for testing.
A power rack and pinion is mounted in a low position for easy oil pan fitment, combined with available motor mounts for Chevy small block, big block, LS or LT engines with a myriad of transmission options—both manual and automatic.
