ARP® Introduces Rocker Pedestal Stud Kit For Dodge/Cummins

In its ongoing quest to improve the performance and reliability of diesel engines, noted fastener manufacturer ARP has developed a rocker pedestal stud kit for the 24-valve Cummins/Dodge engine found in many Ram pickups.

Manufactured from the proprietary ARP2000® material, the studs are nominally rated at 220,000 psi tensile strength—which is almost 50% stronger than Grade 8 hardware. More importantly, unlike factory TTY (Torque-To-Yield) bolts that are yielded by design, the ARP studs have a substantial margin of safety and can be re-used.

The kit, which carries ARP part number 247-7201, contains twelve black oxide finished studs and matching 12-point nuts. They are manufactured in-house at ARP’s ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 registered California facilities. A packet of ARP Ultra-Torque® fastener lubricant is included in the package.
