Aviaid, the company that introduced dry sump lubrication systems to auto racing some 50 years ago, remains at the forefront of technology to this day and has just released an innovative setup for V-10 Viper applications.
The system features a low profile billet aluminum pan with five ports (scavenge pickups and turbo drain-back) and provisions for mounting the 5-stage (or larger) dry sump pump. Additional scavenge sections can be added to the pump for turbocharger scavenging). This space-saving setup provides ample clearance in First and Second Generation Vipers (1992-2007), and is compatible with factory air conditioning. Kits for 2008 to current Vipers are under development.
Included in the Aviaid Viper kit is a custom ATI Super Damper that aligns with the pump’s HTD drive pulley. Pumps with additional stages are available, as are other components required for a finished installation—including a tank, fittings and hose.
