Manley Performance has added to it roster of “firsts” with the introduction of a new 10mm billet stroker crankshaft for the Nissan GT-R. With a stroke of 98.4mm, the increased displacement can contribute to significant performance gains with total reliability. The crankshaft is made of 4340 steel and is multi-step heat-treated and nitrided for added strength. It’s stress relieved, shot-peened and 100% magnafluxed.
Another industry “first” from Manley comes in the form of Pro Series “Turbo Tough” connecting rods for the GT-R that are forged from 300M material and equipped with ARP2000™ bolts (nominally rated at 220,000 psi). As such, they are the strongest rods on the market for the GT-R. They are shot-peened after machining to MIL spec and 100% individually magnafluxed.
Manley’s trio of “firsts” for the GT-R engine are Bore Grade “drop in” pistons, which enable engine builders to precisely match the Nissan factory cylinder designations that are stamped on the block. Forged from high strength 2618 aluminum alloy, these Platinum Series pistons are now available in an increased number of offerings for both stock stroke and stroker applications.
